A human development experience for people who feel burnt out, disconnected, or lost in overthinking — and are ready to find a way forward.
Explore to Move exists for people who feel like something is off — like they've been spinning in place, unable to get out of their own heads or move toward what actually matters to them.
Nature is the setting. But it's not the point.
Most people don't need more information. They need space — to slow down, get out of their routine, and reconnect with what they actually think and want.
The arc of every experience is simple. You arrive carrying whatever you've been carrying. You leave with more clarity, more calm, and a clearer sense of what to do next.
Every detail is taken care of. You arrive, and the experience unfolds. Small group. Real conversations. Time in nature that does something to your thinking. You leave different than you came.
Every experience is built around a core curriculum — a set of ideas that hold regardless of the setting or the group. The activities change. The philosophy doesn't.
Panic shrinks our thinking. When people slow down and realize they have more time than they feel — clarity follows almost immediately.
Most people underestimate themselves because they haven't been given the right environment to find out. We build that environment.
Ownership is the starting point of forward movement. We help people reconnect with the fact that their path is genuinely theirs to shape.
You don't think your way out. You move your way out. Action — even small — produces the clarity that more thinking never will.
I'm a biomedical engineering student at Cal Poly SLO, and I've spent the last several years building environments where people challenge themselves, connect deeply, and move forward.
Explore to Move grew out of real work — leading hundreds of students through outdoor experiences as part of Field Studies Collective, and watching what actually changes people. It's not the mountain. It's the moment they realize they're capable of more than they thought.
Explore to Move is being developed through direct experience — tested, refined, and expanded as we learn what actually works for people. This is the experience arm of Bolton Summit's broader mission.
Being tested and refined through Field Studies Collective at Cal Poly. Real groups, real experiences, real feedback.
Evolving into curated multi-day retreats and single-day workshops for small groups ready for a genuine reset.
A growing set of offerings to help more people live more intentional, connected, and meaningful lives.
Explore to Move is the experience arm of Bolton Summit — a broader personal brand and philosophy built around the belief that people grow most when they're challenged, connected, and given space to reflect.
The Summit is about reaching something. The exploration is how you get there.
This is a place to reset, reconnect, and move forward. You don't have to have it figured out. You just have to show up.
